For more than 10 years, my Ictus Win is a world-wide used research software, about Bible and its interpretation in light of the catholic Tradition and Teaching, with appropriate theological commentaries and exegesis. The User Interface is available also for English-speaking users, and some English/American bibles and texts can be installed.

An adaptation of this software is also freely available from the Congregation for the Clergy web site, “free as a beer” indeed, with a selection of texts in different languages, including English.

The indexation/database engine of Ictus, which I wrote from scratch, was used to create some online versions, available on the Biblia Clerus web site or on the french well-known catho.org platform.

One of the “unique” feature of this new-designed database engine is the ability to modify and re-index text on-the-fly, and the efficient citation indexation: wherever you are in the Bible or other reference text (Magisterium, Fathers), you can instantaneously see all the places where it’s quoted or used. This unique “clever-link” feature clearly boosts interpretation and study!
